What You’ll Do
The Vice President of Servicing Portfolio Retention is responsible for developing, implementing and managing a sales and marketing plan focused on retaining Inspire Home Loans servicing portfolio. This position will create and manage a servicing portfolio retention team consisting of loan officers and processors, while collaborating closely with members of the operation, legal, compliance, IT and marketing departments. Responsible for operational excellence and regulatory compliance related to the origination of mortgage loans for the team.
Collaborate with legal, compliance and IT to implement a CRM system which integrates with Encompass.

What You’ll Do
The Vice President of Servicing Portfolio Retention is responsible for developing, implementing and managing a sales and marketing plan focused on retaining Inspire Home Loans servicing portfolio. This position will create and manage a servicing portfolio retention team consisting of loan officers and processors, while collaborating closely with members of the operation, legal, compliance, IT and marketing departments. Responsible for operational excellence and regulatory compliance related to the origination of mortgage loans for the team.
Collaborate with legal, compliance and IT to implement a CRM system which integrates with Encompass.
- Solicit input from legal, compliance and marketing to create marketing plans; including, email, mail and phone solicitation campaigns, content, timing and frequency.
- Team-up with Servicing Portfolio Manager and LoanCare support personnel to understand the servicing portfolio characteristics, opportunities and restrictions.
- Collaborate with the operations team to create workflow efficiency.
- Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to optimize lead conversion, increase portfolio retention volume, and maximize profitability.
- Create parameters within the CRM to auto-identify refinance opportunities based on servicing portfolio note rates and current market rates.
- Work with Secondary to create HELOC’s and second mortgage programs.
- Recruit, lead, motivate, and coach a team of call center loan officers to achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
- Provide daily supervision, support, and oversight to ensure timelines are met, customer service standards are exceeded, workload priorities are established, and problems/exceptions are resolved.
- Monitor sales activities, call quality, talk time, and adherence to compliance standards to ensure production goals are maximized and regulatory requirements are met.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Stay updated on industry developments, market conditions, and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Thorough understanding of mortgage loan documentation, mortgage loan processing, closing, underwriting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to read and analyze AUS findings, research guidelines and collaborate to find solutions to challenging loan situations.
- Pipeline Management and Quality Control; monitor and manage the timeliness and quality of the mortgage pipeline.
- Work with processing, underwriting, secondary, marketing, closing, and the leadership team to ensure loans meet compliance standards and close on time.
- Work with loan officers and management on escalated and/or complex loans.
- Assigns, directs, coordinates, and reviews work of staff to ensure performance metrics are met for each loan officer.
- Responsive to the consumer inquiries and their needs to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Be the mortgage expert for the Servicing Portfolio Retention team.
- A clear understanding of the entire loan origination/processing life cycle.
- Travel as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- Extensive understanding and advanced knowledge of mortgage technology.
- Experience with NCino, Encompass, and Optimal Blue.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Advanced knowledge of State and Federal mortgage lending laws and regulations to include, but not limited to: Fair Lending, HMDA, ECOA, TILA, RESPA, FCRA, Fraud Prevention, SAFE Act.
- Knowledge of loan products includes Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and state bond programs.
- Experience reviewing AUS findings; finding alternative solutions as needed per Agency guidelines.
- 5+ years of supervisory or management experience with regional responsibilities.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business-related experience. Advanced degree or CMCP, a plus.
- Travel up to 25%
- Must have 7+ years of mortgage-related experience, including production, underwriting, operations.
- 3+ years of experience with loan originations is required.
