Our commitment to excellence and innovation has set us apart in the industry, and we are now seeking a visionary Vice President of Business Development and Sales to spearhead our growth initiatives and elevate our brand to new heights.


Position Overview: This is a transformative role responsible for driving Sales & Business Development to the next level. We are looking for a seasoned professional who is also excited to be entrepreneurial and build an organization from the ground up. The Vice President of Business Development and Sales will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for strategic decisions and driving innovation across all business units. The candidate selected for this role will be expected to make an immediate impact on sales through existing relationships and experience, while building the people, processes and systems for sustainable success.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development and sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Lead the development of a business development and sales group, transitioning from a primarily inbound sales focus to proactive business generation.
  • Lead and mentor the event management / production team to exceed expectations of our guests and clients, including internal clients.
  • Incorporate both the market and alcoholic beverage brand into the sales group, in addition to the restaurants and event venues.


Revenue Optimization:

  • Immediately make an impact on sales through existing relationships and experience.
  • Develop outbound relationship building and sales to generate new business and clients.
  • Expand upselling and cross-selling opportunities to capture more revenue per sale by leveraging the full spectrum of the company’s offerings.
  • Strategically partner with vendors and entertainers to enhance sales efforts.


Team Development:

  • Build a strong organization positioned for revenue and team member growth.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Formalize and integrate the in-house event production and coordination team into the sales group.


Local Sales Initiatives

  • Deploy local sales initiatives, including guerilla marketing, partnerships, and visibility/discoverability efforts.
  • Manage local sales planning and execution efforts.


Market Analysis and Partnerships:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, market expansions, and new customer segments.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and drive innovation.


Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing regular updates and insights to the executive team.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and forge strategic partnerships.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development and sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality and food & beverage industry.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse sales team.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and competitive dynamics in the hospitality and food & beverage sector.
  • Willingness to travel locally as needed to support business development initiatives.
