Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Senior Vice President – Residential Real Estate Resale division is to build a resale division within The St. Joe Company. Individual will be responsible for establishment, oversight and ongoing management of resales function, which may include oversight of external and internal sales teams, hiring and training of real estate agents, as well as all associated activities of residential real estate sales.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for recruitment, selection, retention, training and management of residential resale teams in multiple office locations.
- Responsible for sourcing and management of any third-party sales partnerships.
- Responsible for building sales operations, including all systems, processes and administration of day-to-day activities and functions.
- Solicits and maintains key broker and individual contacts for building relationships within the brokerage, real estate sales, developer and homebuilding communities within the region of Northwest Florida.
- Achievement of the revenue objectives set forth in the annual operating budget.
- General management of on-site sales and administrative support team members in multiple locations throughout the region.
- Oversight of sales and transaction processes.
- Prepares presentation materials and documentation for discussion/approvals.
- Determines methods and avenues for generating contacts and customer base.
- Motivates team to meet and exceed defined annual sales targets.
- All duties associated with management of real estate sales division/offices.
Education and Experience
- Prior experience managing a brokerage and/or real estate sales operation.
- The qualified candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and will be required to meet sales objectives while working in a team-oriented, real estate sales environment.
- Current active Florida Real Estate Broker and/or Salespersons License required with history of no disciplinary issues or reprimands.
- An undergraduate degree in real estate, finance, or other business discipline from an accredited university preferred.
- Resort and community sales experience preferred.
- Strong experience and demonstrated success in recruiting, training and supervising real estate sales and support staff.
- Fundamental understanding of rules and regulations governing real estate transactions.
- Fundamental knowledge of local real estate market and regional conditions affecting sales activity (interest rates, market saturation, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of residential real estate products and the development process.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- The ability to follow established programs with the highest degree of integrity and professional ethics is a must.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills necessary.
- Excellent computer skills – strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and some understanding of database management systems, including CRM databases.
- Local knowledge of Northwest Florida.
- Familiarity with land entitlement/zoning and permitting process.
Physical Demands
- Ability to operate normal office equipment.
- Extensive use of computer.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment, with occasional travel to other office locations.
