Our Vice President, Pharmacy Operations plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical products. The Vice President of Pharmacy Operations is a pivotal role within QuVa Pharma’s Pharmacy organization. This person is responsible for ensuring clinical and operational success through planning, developing, and implementing pharmacy foundational requirements, regulatory, business development and strategic directives as the patient safety advocate in cooperation with other departments of the company, and in accordance with accepting standards of cGMP compliance. With direct oversight of Pharmacy Services, Medication Clinical Safety and Licensing compliance. What The Vice President, Pharmacy Operations Does Each Day

  • Responsible for all clinical and operational aspects of QuVa to ensure patient safety and pharmacist supervision through proactive, critical thinking, solutions-oriented approach
  • Responsible for BOM, Batch Records, Labeling, Licensing, Complaints, Clinical Medical Safety, customer engagement and subject matter expert for business development
  • Ensures infrastructure in place as well as people, process and technology and builds the culture and community of the team
  • Clearly defined KPIs and holds the team accountable for delivering outcomes
  • Proactively evaluates regulations and implements actions and communicates as needed
  • Works closely with Compliance, IT, Operations, and Finance leadership to ensure the highest program integrity, standards, utilization, and pharmaceutical management across the organization
  • Works closely with Legal and Compliance staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and relevant grant and accreditation requirements
  • Determines the objectives of the department; plan, organize and direct general pharmacy services policies and procedures
  • Clinical liaison SME with the QuVa Pharma customers and sales customer service teams
  • Serves as the SME for customer services inquiries and adverse events
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, Federal and State, including reporting and program requirements related to pharmacy services
  • Manages customer communications and clinical decisions with Medication Clinical Safety team
  • Responsible for assuring consistency across all the QuVa facilities in terms of product and process
  • Supports and conducts audits and inspections as needed
  • Responsible for department hiring or functional outsourcing, where needed
  • Responsible for budget related to all items relative to the order fulfillment process, KPIs and performance data analytics

Minimum Requirements For This Role

  • PharmD
  • Licensed as a pharmacist, Board Certification
  • 6-10 years’ experience in clinical pharmacy and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with 3-5 years in a leadership capacity
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas
