Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and Senior Leadership Team, leveraging key insights to build robust and dynamic operational and business strategies, both short- and long-term, to advance the mission and impact of Winston Flowers.
  • Works collaboratively with the department leaders to develop and execute strategy that will drive achievement of company performance across all key metrics.
  • Builds and nurtures relationships at all levels, influences & facilitates change management and provides direction on areas of opportunity to simplify internal business processes, streamline resources, increase efficiency & fast-track projects.
  • Manage Winston Flowers day-to-day functions and ensure that the company’s daily and long-term operational needs are efficiently met.
  • Demonstrate and model Winston Flowers’ culture, as a highly visible leader in the company and key member of the Leadership Team.
  • Lead annual goal setting, tracking, and reporting process for the organization based on vision and objectives set by the CEO and board of directors.
  • Translate company goals into actionable plans in alignment with Winston Flowers’ mission and culture.
  • Develop and maintain effective company-wide communication channels through formal and informal mechanisms including e.g., all-staff meetings, email, surveys
  • Proactively identify organizational issues and areas of opportunities for the CEO and facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Serves as a mentor for colleagues across Winston Flowers, to reinforce a positive culture and teamwork, and to help enhance performance and productivity.


Candidate Attributes:

  • 15 or more years of executive management experience in luxury retail or hospitality industry required
  • Professional or personal experience in floriculture, horticulture, and/or design is preferred
  • Ability to work seamlessly with a variety of teams ranging from sales to creative and client services, across multiple locations
  • Demonstrated experience driving business, managing and building teams


Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively while paying close attention to detail


Track record of taking big picture ideas and operationalizing them

Thrives in dynamic setting with competing demands on attention

Other:

  • Flexible work schedule required including weekend and holiday availability as business needs require
  • Peak business periods will require extended work days and work weeks
  • Some out-of-state work travel will be required.
