Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced operational leader to oversee daily functions and ensure efficiency, productivity, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction operations management, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the candidate will have experience in the commercial and industrial construction field with an emphasis on Cold Storage.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage and optimize resources including personnel, equipment, and materials to meet operational goals. Schedule and allocate resources in an efficient and productive manner to fulfill customer and company objectives profitably.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement measures to improve performance and achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
  • Conduct regular assessments of operational efficiency and effectiveness, making recommendations for enhancements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the operations team.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate operational performance and initiatives.
  • Manage a $40M+ P&L, driving financially sound decisions.
  • Collaborate with Business Development team and directly with potential clients to secure projects.
  • Have a thorough understanding of construction estimating and an ability to read and analyze blueprints and construction drawings, with the skill to provide value engineering to clients.
  • Continue to modernize and professionalize operations leveraging technology and best practices.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in operations/construction management or a similar role, with a track record of success in optimizing processes and driving results.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • [Optional] Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Operations Professional) are a plus.
  • Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
