Job Summary:

As the VP of Operations at dot.cards, your role demands both strategic oversight and a hands-on approach as we continue to grow. You'll architect and refine our operations across finance, sales, and logistics for peak efficiency. Your work, closely aligned with our Founder and CEO, will be crucial in directing the company's strategic path while emphasizing operational excellence. Your focus will be deeply operational, actively shaping processes and mentoring our team for scalable growth. This position will tackle diverse challenges daily, while laying the foundation for dot.cards' future success.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Champion diverse operational tasks in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Build and refine direct reporting frameworks to enhance communication and efficiency.
  • Lead in financial planning and projections, steering the company toward its fiscal goals.
  • Establishes close working relationships with direct reports, team members, customers and partners, leading through influence.
  • Manage overseas logistics and product sourcing for seamless global operations.
  • Drive initiatives to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Leverage technology solutions and automations to improve our operational processes.
  • Build, plan, and deliver on strategic company-wide initiatives that are imperative for our company's growth and ambitions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance software and hardware product delivery.
  • Analyze and identify strategic, operational, and organizational improvements across the organization
  • Serve as a point of escalation of any issue, collaborating with the appropriate functional team to determine appropriate resolution and strategy.
  • Engage in hands-on management of global operations.
  • Foster partnerships and a customer success ethos for high-value relationships.
  • Make informed, data-driven decisions, crucial for future planning, financial projections, and organizational scalability.
  • Apply tech expertise to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
  • All other duties assigned.


Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of startup experience.
  • Proven experience in a rapidly growing startup environment, demonstrating adaptability and success in scaling operations.
  • Experience in partnership and customer success program development.
  • Financial acumen with expertise in planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • A passionate and creative leader with a proven track record in hiring and scaling high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional ability to drive change management; guide the team with confidence and empathy through a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a track record of operational optimization.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively lead meetings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Passion for data, analytics, and process: diving into data to understand metrics and continuously refine & improve our company strategy and performance.
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective.
  • Ability to prioritize demands.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify patterns, process information quickly and make decisions in a timely manner.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • The role is based in our Inglewood, CA office and requires in-person attendance at minimum 4 days per week.
  • Minimum travel requirement, up to 5%.
  • This position may require you to lift up to 30lbs on occasion.
