Your day to day as a Vice President of Utilization Management

As the Vice President of Utilization Management at VillageCare, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing strategies to optimize utilization management functions. Working closely with senior leadership across various departments, you will lead a team of professionals to ensure compliance with regulations and enhance member satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include refining utilization management strategies, overseeing clinical and non-clinical services, and collaborating with key stakeholders to drive operational excellence.

What You Need To Be Successful

To excel in the role of Vice President of Utilization Management at VillageCare, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, a Master's degree in a related healthcare or business field, and hold an active/unrestricted NYS RN license. A minimum of 8 years of management experience in a health-related field, along with at least 10 years of experience in a utilization management position, is necessary. Hospital-based clinical experience and a demonstrated ability to analyze and leverage data for improvement activities are essential.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record in managing utilization management functions in alignment with Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Additionally, strong leadership, communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills are crucial for this role. The ability to adapt to flexible work hours, scheduling demands, and potential travel requirements is also key to success in this position.
