Position Summary:

FPU is seeking a Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA) to work with the President’s Cabinet, as well as all staff and faculty, in support of 1000 undergraduate residential students, many of whom are student-athletes, and over 500 graduate students at the Centers studying in hybrid programs throughout the U.S. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, the VPSA serves as Chief Student Affairs Officer for the main campus and is responsible for daily management of all student life-related elements, as well as development of a strategic vision for comprehensive student services planning and programming, initiatives to support student retention, policy development, compliance with Title IX, and budget development and management, which includes, but is not limited to: Student Involvement, Student Health Services, Student Conduct, Student Housing and Residential Life, Counseling and Outreach Services, and Campus Safety.  The VPSA will build and maintain collaborative working relationships and partnerships within Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, Alumni and Parent Relations, Athletics, and members of the local community. As an unbiased advocate for all students, the VPSA will refine and deliver, with the Student Affairs team and others, a collaborative and coordinated co-curricular program.  In addition, the VPSA will aim to intentionally promote a campus climate that supports diversity, civility, mutual respect, and high academic, personal, and social standards. 

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree. A Master's or Doctorate/terminal degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education Leadership or similar discipline preferred. A minimum of seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs administration is desired along with evidence of currency in student affairs issues, preferably at a four-year, residential, liberal arts college/university. This role requires travel both nationally and locally for University purposes; must hold a valid driver's license.

Relocation reimbursement is available, and while this is an on-campus position, a flexible work schedule is possible.
