Vice President of Software Engineering (Hybrid)

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Software Engineering to lead our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Microsoft Azure DevOps, Azure TFVC, Azure SQL, C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, RESTFUL and SOAP API's. With expertise in developing, and supporting cloud-based, single and multi-tenant SaaS applications that are highly configurable and extensible.

Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid schedule 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership in the development and implementation of software solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Architect scalable and reliable cloud-based SaaS applications using Microsoft Azure and other relevant technologies.
• Lead and inspire a diverse team of software engineers, QA's, and Architects builiding a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop team members, guiding technical skills, career growth, and agile methodologies
• Implement and optimize agile development processes, including Scrum or Kanban, to maximize team efficiency and product delivery.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to promote continuous improvement and accountability.
• Champion agile principles and practices throughout the organization, fostering a culture of agility and adaptability.
• Collaborate closely with product management and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmap priorities.
• Drive the design, development, and deployment of highly configurable and extensible SaaS applications.
• Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives, focusing on delivering value to our customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years as a VP of Engineering
• 5+ years in a leadership role within software engineering, with a focus on Entity Framework ASP.NET technologies.
• Proven track record of designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based, single and multi-tenant SaaS applications.
• Experience running fully agile teams, with a deep understanding of agile methodologies and best practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset, with a focus on driving innovation and delivering results.
