Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead our Food Service sales team. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth in large and mid-sized companies, building and managing high-performing sales teams, thriving in an entrepreneurial environment, and developing strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

• Partner with our executive leadership team to create Sales strategies that align to key strategic business objectives, focusing on revenue, profitability, and market share

• Own the long-term strategy for Foodservice sales, managing sales plans, budgets, forecasts, results, and leading the team

 • Work closely with Sales leadership to develop, implement, and iterate on strategies and tactics that result in exceeding annual growth targets

• Foster a high-performing, metrics-driven sales culture by developing and implementing an integrated sales cadence, forecasting process, and operating plan

• Develop and cultivate key relationships within the assigned channels, focusing on top-to-top relationships with growth-oriented customers and distributors on incremental volume

• Create strategies and performance metrics for key segments and customer groups. Identify and develop new business opportunities and relationships which results in the achievement of increased revenue and profitability.

• Segment the universe of customers into optimal books of business to build a sustainable market coverage model, incorporating fact based and strategic insights to assess gold/silver/bronze classification and corresponding resources.

• Obtain voice of customer and understand product needs and market trends through customer visits, attending trade shows, and relays that information to key stakeholders

 

Requirements:

  • 4 year university degree (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressively senior commercial roles in top-tier, branded and value-add portfolios.
  • Extensive foodservice industry knowledge, with Direct, Broker, and Hybrid sales management experience required.
  • Preferred experience selling Frozen brands and/or premium brands across FS channels
  • An overwhelming commitment to win and drive results through a strong customer orientation
  • Strong sales planning skills and experience with enterprise CRM systems
  • Strong understanding of category management and merchandising techniques
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills (with excellent oral and written communication), strong intellect and problem solving skills
  • A track record of leading and developing next talent for broader roles and responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to manage a large geographical territory.
  • Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and regular overnight travel.
