Our client, a manufacturing company located in Scranton, PA, is looking for a VP of Sales to join their team.

What you will do in this role:

  • Manage the Sales team and Broker Account assignments and sales strategies.
  • Personally schedule sales presentations to brokers, distributors, healthcare, and school programs, purchasing organizations, contract management companies and Restaurants where company may benefit from increased sales volume or strategic alignment.
  • Train the Broker Sales Team and Distributor Sales Representatives
  • Prepare and communicate competitive pricing strategies and competitive product features and benefits to maintain account parity and facilitate increased sales.
  • Provide product feedback to ensure product performance that meets or exceeds customer expectations including, but not limited to, product innovation to direct company to create products to fill a void or fulfill an application in the foodservice segment.
  • Plan and lead the Sales and Marketing efforts and determine objectives for each market; including, but not limited to; pre-show planning for product focus; POS; Samples; Key Account Contacts; social functions; Broker training and Product or Company focused education seminars.
  • Plan and organize participation in selecting mutually agreed upon industry functions.
  • Monitor and communicate levels in K-12 to the Broker network to ensure the commodity allocation is depleted.
  • Facilitate Broker sales efforts of the commercial equivalent products.

What you will bring to the role:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Proven work experience as a VP of Sales or similar role.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ sales experience in the food industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining a sales contact management database.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing key operator objectives and goals.
  • Ability to establish a positive working relationship with senior management, broker, distributor, key customers, and administrative personnel.
