Title: Vice President of Sales
Location: United States (candidate must reside within a commutable distance to a major airport)

Position Overview
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for driving global sales, achieving the company’s earnings growth targets, and collaborating with the product management team to develop new products. In addition, the VP of Sales will be instrumental in building and strengthening the sales team to enhance the company's market position. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of the company’s Specialty Businesses unit, who reports to the company’s CEO.
Essential Functions:
Execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed company goals.
Active engagement with key distributors to drive sales growth through the dealer network.
Drive changes to the Distribution Strategy and fully assess distributor performance.
Profile each territory by available market opportunities
Track distributor performance to available market opportunities
Develop strategies and tactics and implement programmatic changes to capture market share and distribution performance.
Interface with distribution ownership on the progress of strategic development plans; monitor competition and gather current marketplace information.
Recruit, staff, and train new distributors when needed.
Recruit, staff, and train new dealers
Develop and conduct sales meetings.
Identify sales and marketing material needs.
Routine distributor and dealer communications
Effectively manage team members in a positive, high-energy manner to promote continued business growth and personal development for the team.
Product simplification and rationalization to eliminate unprofitable items from product and service offerings.
Represent the company at trade association events and meetings to promote the product line and maintain and cultivate industry relationships
Assist other departments within the organization to prepare brand support materials where needed and requested
Prepare sales reports and analyses showing sales volume, potential sales, and proposed customer base expansion areas.
Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
Develop new clients and markets by using various methods, including cold calling, attending trade shows, face-to-face meetings, web meetings, and direct marketing from office and remote locations.Sustain and expand existing client business where possible.
Track, measure, and manage personal performance by utilizing tools such as Dynamics CRM, online quote and proposal tools, and internal and external documents and forms efficiently and per company requirements.
Ensure customer and prospective customer information, business requirements, and solution designs are documented in our Dynamics CRM
Team player by accomplishing all necessary tasks and elements of the specific job function and further supporting other colleagues and departments whenever necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
The ideal candidate will likely have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
10+ years related sales and sales management experience or training is strongly preferred. Sales management experience should include managing through distribution / independent agencies
Demonstrated ability in problem-solving & negotiation
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to be pragmatic, assertive, and influential
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present to both small and large groups.
Strong track record of accountability and ownership; ability to work and thrive in a lean organization and be able to define and nurture a team
Relationship builder; dynamic, proactive; good listener; values input and stimulates candid dialogue; positive attitude and a sense of humor
Entrepreneurial or private equity experience is a plus
Ability to think strategically and act quickly on new opportunities
Possess thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and other related PC skills.
Working knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce, Dynamics, etc.
Must be able and willing to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
