Position Description:


A key member of the Extended Leadership Team reporting to the CEO, the Vice President of Sales leads the overall commercial strategy and sales forecasting. The VP of Sales takes ownership of the customer and the customer interface, making sure all functions of the organization are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives. This role is responsible for managing the sales team’s strategic plan and business development to grow market share. The Vice President of Sales will partner closely with the marketing leadership, respective functional heads, and cross functional partners to advance the company’s commercial strategy. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Identifying new sales opportunities and building customer relationships, especially at senior levels.
  • Managing extensive broker network with timebound KPI’s and scorecards.
  • Setting sales targets and forecasting sales volumes; holding the sales team accountable for results.
  • Ensuring timely recognition and reward for top achievers and implementing performance management actions when needed.
  • Leading the team and inspiring high performance by providing strong mentorship, coaching, and guidance.
  • Building strong and collaborative relationships with internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analyzing sales performance data and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Monitoring market trends, offering regular competitor analysis and provides solutions to achieve budget goals
  • Collaborating with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and customer needs.
  • A role model of integrity, strong work ethic, team player with impressive business acumen.

  • A thoughtful decision maker that assesses from multiple perspectives and can make a decision in a timely manner.

  • Possesses expert knowledge of the products and their respective ability to generate revenue offerings.
  • Strong business acumen in CPG sale cycle that yields accuracy in sales forecast, production forecast, and delivery to customers.
  • The analysis of activity within the CPG industry to develop the best and most effective business plans and establish realistic and achievable KPIs
  • Maintains proper organizational structure to advance the business strategy.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to enhance the company.


Qualifications, Requirements, and Competencies:

  • 10+ years in commercial leadership roles within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry required.
  • Experience with food related products and seasonal businesses preferred.
  • BS in Business or a related field
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience working with Private Equity-backed companies a plus.
  • Requires regular travel to customers and the corporate office in Ocala, FL.
