Job Description

The Vice President of Sales is a key leadership position reporting to the President of Sensorex, for all aspects of sales execution, new business development and market diversification and growth opportunities globally.


The purpose of this role is to plan and execute sales and new business acquisition activities globally in order to deliver profitable growth objectives and to contribute as a board member to the executive management and the strategy of the company. The Vice President of Sales is expected to work closely with the President, and other members of the board, to improve the core business execution while driving the transformation into new markets and digital offerings. This may include development of new channels to market, business models, new product offerings and new sales models to enhance customer relationships.


The Vice President of Sales role involves overseeing the regional sales teams in Europe, North America, and India, as well as a customer service team and a complex rep/distributor management organization. The role will require leadership across the company driving growth, market diversification and transformation to digital offerings. The team reporting into the VP Sales consists of:

  1. Sales Manager India
  2. Distribution Sales Manager, North America
  3. Strategic Account Manager, North America x 2
  4. Customer Service Representative, North America


Key responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for effective deployment of all the sales resources according to agreed budgets and delivery of the budgeted sales and profit growth.
  • Develop and lead cadence of forecasting and sales pipeline Management.
  • Effective contribution to Sales and Operations planning.
  • Leading, motivating, training and further development of all the people in the department according to the company procedures, top grading technique and employment law.
  • Participation in project team reviews to align sales and product management, operations and supply chain around profitable customer objectives
  • Development and execution of a growth roadmap including sales execution tied to core product offerings to existing customers and core market.
  • Development and execution of a channel to market strategy designed to best promote our profitable growth opportunities
  • Lead diversification strategy to expand core offerings into new markets.
  • Close collaboration and working with the Innovation and Product Management team for implementation of marketing strategy, including advertising, PR, product placement etc., and close monitoring of the execution and effectiveness of the plans to ensure desired outcome.
  • Planning and implementation of sales and customer/distributor retention and development of strategy and effective executions of the plans.
  • Contribution to the formulation of the policy and strategy of the company.
  • Maintenance and administration as well as continuous evaluation and improvement of all the relevant reporting, planning, and assessment of all sales and customer related procedures and systems.
  • Proactive contribution to the company’s New Product and New market development activities.
  • Close working and collaboration with other Directors and sister companies or other partners to further develop and execute the company’s growth strategy and help the company to achieve its mission and ambition.


Candidate Overview

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA or higher degrees would be an advantage.
  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • 5+ years experience in a senior sales / product management / business development leadership position
  • 5+ years experience in a senior sales / business development / product management leadership position associated with process markets including energy or water/wastewater.
  • Experience in strategic planning and experience of close collaboration with reps / distributors or OEMs for business development.
  • Proven success and track record as an individual contributor and manager who has delivered on top line results
