Job Summary:

The Vice President of Sales will oversee and build upon our North America and International Prestige Retail, wholesale and DTC businesses. They will be responsible for optimizing all revenue-generating activities and collaborating with internal and external cross-functional partners to drive business success.

Qualified candidates must have experience generating key account strategies via KPI metrics to measure success. Must have strengths and background in sales forecasting, analytics and merchandising.

This role will require a balance of strategic thinking, communication skills and relationship management with constant coordination internally and externally to deliver objectives.

This role is REQUIRED to be in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week, with the remaining 2 days working from home. The office is in Valhalla, New York.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of 10, managing sales across North America & Internationally
  • Develop and drive sales strategy to deliver revenue growth through forecasting, profitability, budgeting, key account planning, P&L accountability, brand execution at POS and online
  • Delegates tactical execution to the heads of each department focusing on strategic thinking and visionary leadership
  • Continually analyze market and economic trends to develop category growth
  • Lead demand forecasting for all global channels (including but not limited to, www.grandecosmetics.com, ULTA, Salon Centric, Sephora, Amazon, QVC, Nordstrom, Macys, + others)
  • Incorporating promotional uplifts, and analyze key performance metrics post-mortem to identify critical insights and improvement opportunities
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiation
  • Collaborate with Leadership, Sales, Finance and Marketing on shifts in revenue and sell out targets
  • Identify new distribution opportunities
  • Monitor Sell Through rates to forecast future trends
  • Report Sell In and Sell Out Goals using Power BI to President and CEO
  • Monitor inventory levels at key retailers
  • Partner with CMO and Marketing Director to ensure proper advertising exposure for hero products, key secondary items and tentpole promotional events across priority retailers.
  • Align with Marketing/Sales on annual sampling strategy
  • Optimize retail space by auditing online and instore merchandising, updating assets and information as needed
  • Partner with Prestige Education team to determine key communication and activation strategies to lift revenue, ensure proper merchandising and increase brand awareness

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience / Abilities:

  • 10+ years working in Sales roles preferably from a well-recognized high growth, CPG/beauty/luxury/lifestyle service organizations (REQUIRED)
  • Experience within an omnichannel sales environment. Expertise driving demand through retail partners, experience with Sephora and/or ULTA a plus.
  • Excellent business insights and financial acumen with demonstrated experience in:
  • Analysis and reporting of retail data
  • Sales forecasting
  • Budget/P&L creation and ongoing management
  • Marketing promotion and go to market strategy management
  • Strong understanding of retail financial reporting and analysis
  • Experience in Beauty/Cosmetics industry, a background in driving brand sales strategies within the Luxury/Prestige products industry is highly valued
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, ownership, and accountability for business goals/financial targets
  • Must demonstrate strong communication skills and have a strategic and highly analytical mind
  • Team player who can build relationships with cross-functional team members
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create winning partnerships with wholesale partners

Travel and Hours:

  • This is a full-time position salaried position.
  • Required in office days Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. (8-4, 9-5, 10-6)
  • Work from home day Mondays & Fridays. (9-5)
  • Travel up to 30% of the time
