Diamond Fulfillment Solutions is the premier provider of 3PL solutions, offering comprehensive services in warehousing, fulfillment, subscription box management, and customized kitting and projects. Based just outside of Chicago, Illinois, we specialize in both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) fulfillment services, providing customizable online order processing, print management, print-on-demand, kitting, and project work, along with meticulous inventory management. Our goal is to create simple solutions to custom needs and establish a warehouse partnership that seamlessly integrates with specific requirements.


Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Vice President 3PL Solutions at Diamond Fulfillment Solutions. The Vice President will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, managing and developing client relationships, and driving business growth. They will lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure efficient and effective 3PL solutions for our clients.


Vice President of Sales Responsibilities - Diamond Fulfillment


Develop & Implement Sales Strategy

  • Craft a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overarching business objectives.
  • Identify market opportunities and define strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth.

Set Sales Targets & KPIs

  • Establish clear and challenging sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Sales Forecasting

  • Develop accurate sales forecasts based on data analysis and market trends.
  • Use forecasting to guide resource allocation and strategic decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with other departments such as marketing, account management, and finance.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between sales and other functions to achieve organizational goals.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Oversee the management of customer relationships.
  • Ensure effective communication and client satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Strategic Account Management

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key strategic accounts.
  • Collaborate with account management teams to maximize customer value.

Sales Process Optimization

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize the sales process for greater efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the effectiveness of the sales function.

Sales Technology Utilization and Implementation

  • Utilize Salesforce to document leads, calls, pipeline status, etc.
  • Conduct cold calls, and build robust pipeline generating $3M a new business yearly
  • Analyze sales performance data and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership based on performance analysis.

Contract Negotiation and Price Adjustments

  • Lead negotiations for complex deals and contracts.
  • Ensure favorable terms while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Participate in and suggest price changes and increases.
  • Communicate price changes to customers.

Crisis Management

  • Handle challenging situations and crises within the sales function.
  • Implement strategies to navigate uncertainties and challenges effectively.

Compliance & Ethics

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Uphold integrity in all aspects of sales operations.

Continuous Learning and Innovation

  • Stay updated on industry trends, sales methodologies, and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the sales team.



Qualifications:

Experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is a must


Industry Knowledge: in-depth understanding of the 3PL and fulfillment industry.

Track record of closing sales, working account and achieving individual sales goals.

Familiarity with market trends, customer behaviors and competitive landscapes.


Product/Service Knowledge: comprehensive knowledge of the products or services offered by the company. Ability to communicate the value proposition effectively to both internal teams and clients.


Sales Process Expertise: proven experience in designing and optimizing sales processes. Understanding of the end-to-end sales cycle and the ability to implement best practices. Demonstrate success in identifying, qualifying an closing new business.


Strategic Vision: ability to develop and communicate a clear sales strategy aligned with overall business goals. Visionary thinking to anticipate future market trends and opportunities.


Financial Acumen: understanding of financial metrics and the ability to manage sales budgets effectively. Experience in forecasting and financial planning related to sales activities.


Customer Centric Approach: strong customer focus with a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences. Experience in implementing customer-centric sales strategies.


Negotiation Skills: demonstrated proficiency in negotiating complex deals and contracts. Track record of achieving favorable terms while maintaining strong client relationships.


Communication skills: Outstanding presentation, and both internal and external communication.


Educations/Experience:

·      5+ years of experience in a consultative sales role within the 3PL, Fulfillment industry

·      Bachelor’s Degree from four four-year college or university (preferably in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related major)

Base pay and commissions are dependent on previous 3PL, warehouse experience
