Vice President of Sales – International Air and Ocean Freight


Our client, a leading provider of both international and domestic freight services, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Director to drive growth in their international air and ocean freight services.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand market share in international forwarding (Air & Ocean).
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and fostering relationships with prospective clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their logistics needs and delivering tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, warehousing, and transportation, to ensure seamless execution of both inbound and outbound freight services.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform sales strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and negotiate pricing with clients, aligning with company objectives and profitability targets.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and business development initiatives.


Requirements:


  • Proven track record of success in business development roles within the logistics industry, focusing on international air & ocean freight services.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to close deals and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and proactive mindset in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively, both independently and collaboratively.
