Position Summary:

The Vice President of Quality is responsible for leading and managing quality and safety programs across Lifepoint Health's community-based hospitals. This role involves defining and implementing strategies for clinical quality, process improvement, patient safety, and value. The VP of Quality will coordinate and measure performance related to internal and external quality and safety standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct and implement evidence-based continuous improvement programs in clinical quality and patient safety.
  • Serve as a change agent to strengthen the culture of quality and safety, integrating a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Establish a strategic plan focusing on quality, safety, and service excellence, aligned with national standards and including clear metrics for high reliability performance.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management and Patient Safety to oversee root cause analyses, corrective actions, and performance indicators.
  • Lead the development and deployment of training for High Reliability and safety culture.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing staff, ensuring quality standards, and overseeing hiring, training, and performance reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Education: RN and Master’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or Business.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive leadership experience; 10 years in leading quality programs in a large healthcare network.
  • Certifications: CPHQ/CPPS required; Lean/Six Sigma preferred.
  • Licenses: Appropriate state license.

Skills:

  • Advanced mathematical and computer skills.
  • Strong communication abilities across various levels.
  • Proficient in decision-making with a significant impact on the organization.
