Job Description

Vice President of Psychiatric Clinical Operations will be accountable and responsible for the development and growth of CRC’s psychiatry program that serves residents of skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The Director will create training, onboard and manage clinicians, foster relationships with facility partners, and collaborate with leadership to provide a differentiated, high value service to patients and facilities.


Clinical Leadership

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and create clinical training content and job aids on geriatric psychiatry including differential diagnosis, medication management, dementia care, and other topics as appropriate
  • Onboard clinicians and provide guidance on clinical concepts and strategies for effective practice in the post-acute care setting


Program Development & Quality

  • Develop standard workflows and processes to ensure program consistency and practice across all facilities
  • Remain up-to-date on Federal and state regulations impacting psychiatric care in post-acute settings and ensure program standards and guidelines are sensitive to these requirements
  • Collaborate with compliance team to facilitate review processes for documentation and coding of clinician encounters


Business Development & Account Management

  • Participate in business development activities and serve as a subject matter expert in discussions with prospective facilities
  • Conduct periodic check-ins with facility partners to assess program value and proactively address opportunities for improvement


Education and Experience:

  • Active, unencumbered Medical License: Psychiatry
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience providing psychiatric services to a geriatric population
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading clinical programs with preference for programs tailored to the skilled nursing and long-term care population
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience managing/leading other psychiatry clinicians
  • Operational and process improvement experience preferred


Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth clinical knowledge of geriatric psychiatric care
  • Proficient in Medicare documentation regulations and associated billing practices
  • Proven leadership in successfully identifying new strategies, change management, and implementing initiatives across geographically disparate locations.
  • Strong skills in fostering working relationships and working with others to accomplish goals
  • Display a customer service, patient-focused orientation
  • Strong collaboration and conflict resolution skill sets
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to present information in a variety of different formats to all levels


Job Type: Part-time


Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
