Propylon is looking for a VP of Professional Services to join our innovative, software solutions business dedicated to driving digital transformation in the legal landscape. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to work on multi-million, enterprise-level software implementations in a client-facing role.


You will take overall responsibility and accountability for the LBW 360 Group management, deliverables, revenue and profitability, ensuring a consistent methodology across all projects, including LWB 360 product strategy.

Responsibilities


  • LWB 360 on time and on budget deliverable: LWB 360 project delivery (delivery on time): reviewing estimates, reviewing Project Manager and Portfolio Managers project schedules and sprint plans, managing estimation for sales. LWB 360 project commercials (delivery on budget): reviewing Project Manager and Portfolio Manager's burndown plans, creating burndown plan when there is no PM, reporting into revenue recognition meetings on LWB 360 projects, LWB 360 project profitability and revenue targets, assisting the team in resolving delivery/progress related issues, both technical and business-related


  • LWB 360 operations responsibilities: LWB 360 resourcing: working with Project Manager and Portfolio Managers to agree resource allocation; reviewing Project Manager and Portfolio Managers resource forecasts; working with the team on capacity planning; creating a department that can accommodate a mix of skills ranging or Graduates to Senior Team members. Skills planning: working collaboratively with Project Managers and Portfolio Managers, Technical and Business Leads to identify the required skill sets and resources needed to deliver; providing clarity and guidance, work with teams to identify any knowledge and skills gaps and building strategies and define actions to mitigate; creating an environment to develop and engage new hires who will join the team; creating a learning environment and encourage meaningful growth by empowering development team members to take ownership of their development. Team Management: working with the Head of Technology and LWB 360 Standardisation to agree on delivery process direction for the design, development and systems integration for client engagements from the definition phase through implementation; responsibility for performance management and career development of team members; new hire onboarding of new hires. Standardisation of delivery processes: working with PMO and Team to implement processes to ensure maximum software reuse and standardisation across projects, including adherence to a testing methodology; ensuring that project deliveries are inline with PMO processes that are established with the LWB 360 standardisation; focusing on delivery, client relationship management and service improvement across the delivery function.


  • LWB 360 Revenue and Profitability: Profit and Loss responsibility for LWB 360: work with the COO to understand revenue and costs; work with the CFO to ensure department profitability aligned with company KPIS; translate the P&L requirement into actions for the senior team members to ensure profitability targets are reached; adopt new process, product, technology, opportunity to contribute the efficiency and revenue of the organisation; work with the Senior Management to take corrective action to ensure profitability targets are achieved when required


  • Strategy: Part of the Senior Management Team providing strategy direction and translating strategy into action plans / deliverables. Being an active member of the senior propylon management team. Where appropriate put the needs of the group ahead of these of the LWB 360 team.

  • Head of Technology LWB 360: Technical strategy and direction for LWB 360 projects and products; management of the LWB 360 technical team; ensuring oversight of all technical work to ensure it is in line with technical strategy; line management of the LWB 360 technical team, either directly or through Tech Leads, ensuring that all team members are fully occupied, have clear objectives and career development is being managed; key stakeholder in ensuring capacity planning in LWB 360 for technical delivery.


Location:


This is a full-time, permanent role with an average of 3 days per week in our office in Chicago, IL. The role will be client-facing and there will be a travel element included.
