The Vice President of MSP will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle of the products and services we develop and offer through our MSP Channel. This includes portfolio strategy, development, launch, and continuous improvement in order to expand the business. The VP will lead cross-functional teams to ensure that the products and solutions we offer through MSP meet market needs, are competitive, and drive company growth. The ideal candidate will have a background in product leadership within the MSP domain, focusing on driving growth, enhancing customer outcomes, and leading cross-functional teams to success.
What You Will Do
Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and market demands
Product Development: Lead the product development process in conjunction with the leaders of the product business units, from ideation to launch, ensuring products meet quality, performance, and budgetary goals
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats
Roadmap Management: Champion the portfolio roadmap across the Security technology group to prioritize features and enhancements based on the needs of our MSP Partners to drive material business impact
Cross-functional leadership: Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product delivery and market adoption
Partner and Customer Focus: Engage with MSP partners and customers and other stakeholders (ex: Analysts) to gather feedback and insights, ensuring products address real-world challenges and deliver value
Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure portfolio success and drive continuous improvement for the MSP business
Innovation: Champion innovation within the product management team, fostering a culture of creativity and forward-thinking
What You Will Bring
Experience: Proven track record in product management within the MSP sector, ideally at a Sr. Director level or above. Experience with Endpoint Protection, Detection, and Incident Response is highly desirable
Technical Acumen: Strong technical background with the ability to work closely with engineering teams and understand complex technical concepts
Strategy: Deep understanding of MSP market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills to define the strategy for MSP
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams. Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
Results-oriented: Data-driven approach focusing on achieving strong commercial results in revenue and customer adoption
Innovation Mindset: Passion for continual learning and innovation. Ability to drive product differentiation and competitive advantage and Knowledge of product development methodologies and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
Thought Leadership: Act as an evangelist for Sophos MSP offerings internally and externally. Engage with industry analysts, attend key events, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives to position Sophos as a leader in the MSP space
30%+ travel will be required and will be on an as-needed basis
In the United States, the base salary for this role ranges from $225,000 to $375,000. In addition to base salary, we offer additional compensation including bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package. A candidate’s specific pay within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
