Job Summary

ActiveProspect is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Product to strategically guide our product management team. This role, crucial in integrating strategic business directions from the CEO and CTO, requires experience in consent-based marketing and SaaS product management. The VP of Product will be instrumental in shaping product development aligned with strategic business directions, market demands, and customer needs, especially focusing on optimizing pricing and packaging strategies while maintaining a similar focus on developing and mentoring your Product team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Collaboration and Guidance: Directly collaborate with the CTO and CEO to weave comprehensive business strategies into the fabric of product development. Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy across all of our products that aligns with the company's overall mission and objectives.
  • Pricing and Packaging: Strategically develop and refine pricing models and packaging options for ActiveProspect's suite of products, ensuring alignment with market demands, competitive positioning, and long-term company objectives
  • Leadership in Customer Engagement: Establish a systematic approach to capture and analyze customer feedback, using this data to influence product roadmaps and strategic decisions. Create feedback loops that not only gather insights but also actively engage customers in the development process, enhancing product relevance and user satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence and Process Improvement: Define and prioritize a single product roadmap with rapid process iteration based on market analysis, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence. Spearhead initiatives to refine product development processes, enhancing efficiency and adaptability
  • Team Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to enable the team to achieve their goals and maximize their potential
  • Data-Driven Decision Making and Innovation: Champion the use of data analytics to inform product strategies, especially in areas of pricing and packaging. Collaborate with the data team to ensure that product decisions are well-supported by empirical evidence and market insights. Maintain a thorough understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies. Utilize these insights to keep ActiveProspect at the forefront of the industry
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle of all of our products from ideation to launch to post-launch optimization. Define clear objectives, milestones, and success metrics for each stage of the product development process. Monitor and analyze product performance, customer satisfaction, and market trends to identify opportunities for enhancement and growth
  • Market Analysis and Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics to inform product strategy and innovation initiatives. Identify new market opportunities and potential partnerships to drive product differentiation and expansion into new segments
  • Product Evangelism: Serve as a passionate advocate for ActiveProspect's products, both internally and externally. Collaborate with the marketing, product marketing, and sales teams to develop compelling messaging, collateral, and go-to-market strategies. Act as a key spokesperson for our products at industry events and in public forums

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management within the SaaS and marketing technology sectors, demonstrating successful team leadership and innovative product delivery
  • Proven expertise in the principles and practices of consent-based marketing, including a thorough understanding of its regulatory environment
  • Strong experience in developing pricing strategies and packaging models that drive market penetration and customer retention
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team, fostering an environment of accountability and growth
  • Strong analytical skills and a robust approach to data-driven decision making
