Vice President of Operations - National

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to enhance operational performance and achieve organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish long-term operational objectives aligned with the company's vision and values.

Operational Excellence:

  • Provide guidance and support to general managers, field technicians, and support staff across all locations.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including revenue generation, resource allocation, and project management.
  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Manage national training programs to ensure consistent skill development across the organization.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor operational metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize data analysis to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular reviews and provide coaching to regional and general managers to optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with permit processes, service contracts, and call center operations.
  • Supervise material cost adherence and approval processes.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Foster a customer-centric culture and uphold high standards for service delivery.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to maintain satisfaction and loyalty.

Vendor Relations:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely access to quality products and services.
  • Review contracts and agreements to optimize costs and reduce expenses.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures to promote a secure work environment.

Financial Oversight:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage budgets aligned with financial goals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth through operational enhancements.
  • Manage operational bonus programs, SPIFF, charity initiatives, and oversee accounts receivable and financing platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of operations management experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling operations in a multi-location environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
