We are looking for a Vice President of Operations for Thales Defense & Security, Inc. (TDSI). This position is located at our Clarksburg, Maryland Campus. This position is a member of senior staff and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

- Provides strategic technical and managerial leadership for the Operations Departments –Concurrent/Test/Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning and Supply Chain.
- Continuing our Operations organization trajectory of production revenue growth.
- Serves on the executive team at TDSI and works closely to align operations efforts with overall company goals.
- Responsible and accountable for developing and achieving strategic business plan objectives and initiatives for the operations departments.
- Ensures operations projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with TDSI’s established policies and objectives.
- Responsible for helping to develop and support company values, vision, and culture while m aintaining a high ethical standard of practice including compliance with all company procedures.

- US Citizenship required - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information upon hire.
- Bachelor’s of engineering/Business degree or related technical degree.
- Experiences as an Operational Director for 6-10 years with multi-functional groups to include manufacturing, supply chain, test/manufacturing/concurrent engineering and planning in DoD market.
- 10+ years in electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience in producing robust electronics equipment for the demanding DoD market.
- Strong understanding of and experience with application of Manufacturing Enterprise and Enterprise Resource Planning Systems in an electronic manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with application of Lean Manufacturing Concepts such as Kanban, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, etc. in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience running an operations team in compliance with CMMI Level 3 and AS9100 processes.
- Ability to foster teamwork across different functional areas within Thales Defense & Security, Inc. and other Thales entities.
- Proven leadership with ability to effectively create and execute to workforce plans to meet objectives and business strategic goals.
- This is an on-site operations leadership role.
- This role requires periodic domestic travel or international travel to other TDSI or Thales entities.
