Vice President of Operations

Carillon Assisted Living, a Raleigh-based company with a 25-year operating history in the business of building and operating assisted living communities, is in the business of making a positive impact on the lives of seniors in North Carolina and beyond. With the launching of its new brand, Calyx Living, the company has four new communities open or under construction in North Carolina, as well as four additional in pre-construction entitlement. At this pivotal moment in its growth, Carillon is seeking to hire a Vice President of Operations based out of the corporate office in Raleigh, North Carolina to oversee operation of existing communities and the opening of new ones.

The Vice President of Operations oversees the opening and on-going operation of Carillon's assisted living facilities to the high standards of quality, service, operating efficiency and financial performance set by the company.

Vice President Of Operations Responsibilities

• Build, lead and manage high performing community-based teams.
• Deliver community census and financial performance at the industry-leading levels expected by the company.
• Ensure stable, timely day to day operations including staffing and service delivery that result in high resident and family satisfaction.
• Refine operating practices, policies and manuals to update them for current generation technology and best practices.
• Hold communities accountable to delivering clinical results and regulatory compliance.
• Routine, ongoing hands on presence in the communities with as much as 40% of time routinely spent in communities and significantly more during community openings.
• Oversee support functions including regional clinical, dining, maintenance and other in support and compliance oversight of operations.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a Vice President of Operations role ideally over a portfolio of 8 to 12 assisted living or AL/IL communities including responsibility for support functions such as Regional Clinical, Dining, Maintenance and Training.
• 5 years of regional operations experience over a minimum of 8 to 10 communities.
• 3 years of Executive Director experience in senior living required.
• Community opening experience a plus but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree from a traditional in-person college or university.
• A licensed North Carolina administrator or the willingness and ability to get licensed within the first 6 months of employment at the company.
• Ability and willingness to work fully in-office or in-community.
