What We’re Seeking:


Our mission is to help our customers take back control of their well-being, quickly and naturally so they can live life to its fullest. We’re looking for a VP of National Retail with a proven track record and strong industry connections to lead our efforts in establishing and growing our national footprint in big box retail. You will report directly to our Chief Revenue Officer and work closely with our marketing and operations teams to develop and execute strategies that secure placements in prominent national chains such as pharmacies, natural grocery stores, wellness retailers, and more. We’ve built a large mom-and-pop retail network, and now we’re seeking an experienced leader to spearhead our national retail growth.


In this role, you will leverage your deep market knowledge to establish and expand our national retail partnerships. Your responsibilities will include developing comprehensive retail strategies, establishing key retail and broker relationships, and driving market penetration. You will also focus on optimizing sales strategies based on market trends, managing budgets, and achieving ambitious sales goals.


The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in developing and leading large-scale consumer packaged goods (CPG) wholesale programs, with a history of securing significant retail placements and boosting sales performance. We’re seeking someone that is a proactive leader with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of fostering strong partnerships.

What You'll Do:


  • Establish and Expand National Retail Presence: As a central focus of your role, you will establish and aggressively expand our national retail footprint. Currently strong in mom-and-pop channels, our aim is to replicate this success on a larger scale within national retail chains such as pharmacies, grocery, wellness stores, and much more. Utilize your deep industry connections and extensive experience to make an immediate impact in this competitive and saturated market.
  • Lead Strategic Retail Planning and Execution: Apply your exceptional business acumen and thorough market understanding to develop strategic plans specifically tailored to penetrating and scaling within national retail environments. Your plans will directly influence our growth strategy, focusing on securing high-impact placements and expanding market share.
  • Forge and Enhance Key Retail and Broker Relationships: Cultivate strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders in national retail chains and brokerage firms. Your ability to network and negotiate will be crucial in navigating the complexities of the CBD market, securing favorable terms, and establishing long-term partnerships.
  • Achievement of Sales Goals: Achieve ambitious sales targets for national retail channels. Monitor performance and make strategic adjustments to drive sales and market penetration.
  • Analytical Reporting and Decision Making: Regularly assess and report on the effectiveness of national retail strategies, utilizing data-driven insights to make informed decisions. Your analytical skills will enable us to understand market trends, measure KPIs, and adjust strategies to better compete in the national landscape.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally to Maximize Retail Penetration and Growth: Work closely with our operations and marketing teams to align strategies and actions, ensuring seamless execution across departments. This collaboration will enhance our ability to penetrate national retail markets more effectively and drive substantial growth.


This role demands a strategic thinker and a dynamic leader capable of transforming our national retail strategy. Your expertise in establishing connections, combined with your ability to forge significant partnerships will be pivotal in elevating our brand to a prominent position in national retail outlets.

  • You bring experience leading sales teams towards achieving ambitious sales goals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Robust analytical skills with an ability to digest large amounts of data, identify trends, and make keen recommendations.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects at a time with minimal oversight.
  • Strong project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal, and written).
  • Possess a sincere desire to embrace feedback and develop.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
  • 10+ years of CPG sales and leadership experience in national retail required.
  • Experience using syndicated data (e.g., SPINS and Nielsen)
  • Experience in the CBD Retail Market is preferred.
