The Role:
Our client, a medical device manufacturer with multiple products on the market, is looking for a VP of Manufacturing to aid in their growing operations in the greater Dallas area.
Must Haves:
- Work with the executive team to set the company’s strategic direction and operational strategies.
- Implement best practices to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans.
- Drive innovation in manufacturing to improve product quality and production efficiency.
- Develop capital expenditure strategies with engineering staff to enhance revenue and cost savings.
- Champion continuous improvement of business systems and processes for better efficiency and scalability.
- Build and lead an operations team, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance work culture.
- Develop departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively to improve profitability and reduce waste.
- Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, delivery, cost, capacity, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Oversee supply chain operations, including production planning, procurement, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
- Optimize warehousing operations for timely product delivery.
- Oversee maintenance activities for equipment reliability and facility compliance.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Quality for new product development.
- Plan facility expansion or improvement projects to support company growth.
Responsibilities:
- BS in Engineering or similar discipline.
- 15+ years of proven progressive leadership within the medical device industry.
- Extensive experience in FDA Quality System Regulations, EU Medical Device Regulations, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance and scalability.
- Significant experience with computerized manufacturing management systems, methods, and an in-depth knowledge of computer-based ERP systems, controls, and capabilities.
This is an onsite role in TX.
