Vice President of Manufacturing

A leading plastics manufacturing company, specializing in high-quality plastic products for a diverse range of industries is looking for a Vice President of Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics manufacturing, demonstrated leadership skills, and a proven track record of optimizing production processes while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

The Vice President of Manufacturing will have the following responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of production managers, supervisors, and operators to achieve operational excellence and employee development.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline processes.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and uphold rigorous quality standards.
• Budget Management: Manage manufacturing budgets and resources effectively to achieve financial targets.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain to optimize processes and support new product introductions.

The Vice President of Manufacturing should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in plastics manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead large manufacturing teams and drive operational excellence.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification preferred.
