OVERVIEW
Vaco is seeking a motivated Vice President of Information Technology for a direct hire opportunity for one of our well-known clients. The Vice President of Information Technology will lead the IT strategy and operations, focusing on maximizing existing resources and driving impactful solutions. This role requires a leader with extensive experience in retail operations, process improvement, data platforms, and project management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a track record of successfully transforming IT environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead efforts to standardize POS platforms and integrate inventory control and automatic replenishment systems.
- Ensure the successful enhancement of POS systems to achieve PCI certification.
- Oversee data integrity and maintain the quality of the data warehouse.
- Collaborate closely with the BI team and Field Operations to ensure data-driven decision-making.
- Provide oversight for the implementation of enterprise inventory management solutions.
- Manage the deployment of cybersecurity tools and drive process improvements.
- Monitor and enhance the responsiveness and problem-solving capabilities of the IT Help Desk.
- Champion talent development and capacity building within the IT team to align with business objectives.
- Foster a high-performance culture, attracting, recruiting, and retaining top IT talent.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Human Resources, Field Operations, Business Intelligence, Finance, Loss Prevention, Inventory Control, Accounts Payable, and Legal departments to support strategic initiatives.
- Support a company with a diverse family of brands, each maintaining its distinct identity.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10-12 years of progressive experience overseeing IT operations across an enterprise.
- Proven experience in multi-location, consumer-direct, growth companies, with a strong background in retail operations.
- Demonstrated success in operating and scaling IT functions within a complex organizational structure.
- Expertise in data platforms, particularly with D365 and experience with F&L modules.
- Strong understanding of security domains, web/digital solutions, and managing remote cloud environments.
- Track record of successful project management, including M&A activities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of PCI compliance standards and best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft D365 is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

In our commitment to transparency throughout the hiring process, we provide a target annual base salary range of $205,000 - $225,000 + bonus for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) experience, work location, and skills. Additionally, this position is eligible for comprehensive benefits provided by the hiring employer.
