Vice President of Global Supply Chain

Relate Search has partnered with a global chemical manufacturer to add an outstanding Vice President of Supply Chain. The Vice President of Supply Chain reports directly to the COO and will aggressively pursue strategies for continuous improvement in supply management, cost control, material planning and control, plus the integration of additional supply chain elements. This leader will hire and develop highly effective people and then challenge and support them. They will develop and implement global strategic sourcing initiatives, plus lead implementation of lean process management within the supply chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a highly effective team through interviewing, selection, development, mentoring.
• Develop and oversee the global commodity and supply chain strategies.
• Deliver year over year material cost productivity improvement.
• Develop and implement standards and metrics for measuring results and supplier performance.
• Collaboratively develop vision, strategy and roadmap for future Supply Chain.
• Develop the Supply Chain and Sourcing policy plan to support the business.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10-15 years strategic sourcing experience in global manufacturing or similar company.
• Excellent financial acumen especially as related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Significant experience with technology and software solutions in world class environments. Competency in at least one Enterprise Software brand. (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc).
• Experience with supplier integration techniques and processes.
• In-depth materials management expertise with quantifiable successes in customer service, inventory, and cost.
• Superb negotiating skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, M.B.A. preferred.
• CPIM/CPM certification preferred.
• Successful implementation of lean process management.
