Position Overview

The Global Vice President of Operations will play a pivotal leadership role, embodying the high-performance standards of a Lean-driven culture. The right candidate will drive operational excellence, optimize efficiency, and ensure top-tier quality across twelve global sites. They will place a strong emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, and a streamlined global supply chain.

• Evaluating and improving overall manufacturing operations across global sites
• Delivering cost savings through deployment of Lean principles and strategic planning
• Fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement and change management

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and communicating a clear roadmap and strategy for operations aligned with company business objectives
• Collaborating with the leadership team to ensure operational alignment with company mission, values, and future expansions
• Leading and mentoring teams across operational functions, setting the standard for excellence and streamlined managerial cadence
• Identifying opportunities for operational improvement, implementing best practices, and driving operational efficiency with clear Kaizen roadmaps for each site
• Cultivating a culture of Continuous Improvement, integrated SQDPC principles into every aspect of operations with clear and well-defined standard work
• Developing talent pool, nurturing first generation of Lean-based operations leaders
• Championing the implementation and maintenance of stringent quality control processes and standards, aligning with industry and regulatory requirements
• Driving initiatives to enhance product/service quality, elevate customer satisfaction, and prioritize safety
• Leading the design and implementation of Kanban systems for seamless inventory management and production flow
• Ensuring effective utilization of Kanban principles across all operations
• Overseeing global supply chain and procurement strategies
• Maintaining cost-effective procurement practices without compromising quality
• Developing and managing operational budgets, emphasizing cost control, reduction, and efficiency
• Balancing cost savings with strategic investments in safety, quality, and innovation
• Cultivating a culture of collaboration and open communication across departments to ensure seamless operations
• Collaborating closely with other senior leaders to collectively drive organizational success

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related
• Advanced degree or MBA preferred
• Minimum 10-15 years of related work experience in progressively responsible roles including those in Lean, Operations, Supply Chain, and/or General Management
• Demonstrated experience with Lean tools including Strategy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Standard Work, FMEA, Problem Solving, Kanban, Visual Daily Management, 80/20
• Strategic planning and problem-solving skills
• Strong business and financial acumen including understanding of P&L
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; general computer skills and knowledge
