Global Fund for Children

Vice President of Finance

SRI Executive Search has been contracted by the Global Fund for Children to assist with the search for an exceptional candidate to fill the position of Vice President of Finance.

About Global Fund for Children

Global Fund for Children (GFC) works to build a world where all children and youth are safe, strong, and valued. To that end, we partner with innovative, locally-led organizations, helping them deepen their impact and build their capacity for social change. By pairing flexible funding with targeted capacity development services, we help our partners grow stronger and more responsive to challenges on the ground.

Since 1997, we have invested more than $63 million in over 1,000 organizations. Our work advances the rights of children and youth across four focus areas: education, gender equity, youth empowerment, and freedom from violence and exploitation.

You will join a multinational team of caring and committed individuals who believe in investing in bold ideas to help grassroots organizations deepen their impact and advocate for children’s rights. We value courage, excellence, learning, partnership, and inclusion, as well as kindness and passion. Our partners’ visions for change inspire all we do. Feedback and learning inspire us to do better, and we strive to be youth-centered.

Our Values

Courage | Take risks for change

When there’s an opportunity to spark big change, we’re willing to take smart risks that others won’t. We recognize that social innovation requires thinking big and breaking down barriers, so we strive to be courageous but not single-minded, visionary but rooted in real progress.

Excellence | Take good to great

In our interactions as a team and with partners, donors, and other collaborators, we strive not just to meet commitments but to exceed expectations, making every GFC experience better than anticipated.

Learning | Wonder, discover, reflect, and adapt

We approach work with childlike curiosity and enthusiasm for discovery, and we share our experiences and resources generously. We innovate by learning from success and failure, trying again, and encouraging others to do the same.

Partnership | Serve partners first

Our community-based partners develop solutions. We help. We amplify their ideas and voices and make choices that maximize their freedom to pursue their goals. Global questions demand local answers, and our partners are best positioned to find them.

Passion | Embrace passion and kindness

We energize and inspire others by drawing on passion and kindness. In a world full of stress and difficulty, a culture of enthusiasm, empathy, and collaboration helps us thrive in our work.

Inclusion | Include intentionally

Innovation and brilliance exist at the margins, so we make space for diverse perspectives, and we amplify unheard voices. We recognize that intersections of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and other factors create inequalities, which we work to disrupt.
