After raising $500M+, our client, a payment infrastructure unicorn, that facilitates seamless transactions for consumers and businesses across borders. Now, looking for a dynamic VP of Product Engineering to lead their efforts in advancing their payments platform to new heights.

Role Overview:

As the VP of Product Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in steering the development and enhancement of our payments platform. Your deep expertise in the payments industry, combined with strategic vision and technical proficiency, will be instrumental in shaping our product roadmap, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge payment solutions. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will lead all product engineering teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the product engineering roadmap, aligning it with overarching business objectives and long-term vision.
• Drive technical innovation by leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to deliver scalable and reliable payment solutions.
• Cultivate a high-performance engineering culture by attracting, retaining, and developing top engineering talent.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality releases from ideation to delivery.
• Collaborate closely with product management and design teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and establish development milestones.
• Promote agile software development methodologies and foster a culture of continuous improvement and rapid iteration.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team, providing mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization, including product management, design, and business development, to drive cross-functional alignment and successful product launches.

Required Competencies and Skillset:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large engineering teams.
• Highly preferred experience in the payments industry.
• Managed team sizes of 50+
• Extensive experince in product development and software engineering.
• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and scalable systems.
