The Vice President Engineering and Design, RBU ATF is responsible for leading the Regional Business Unit / Market Segment for Advanced Technologies Facilities in Engineering & Design. Develops strategic approach to the Market Segment regarding clients, services, and delivery. Provides leadership to the company in assigned areas that relates to the success of the overall enterprise.


  • Leads a team of Engineering and Design Discipline Directors.
  • Drafts a road map towards a new structure of the engineering organization across all regions and Business Units
  • Unifies tools and processes across all regions by means of soft leadership, change management and consulting with operating units
  • Strengthens engineering competencies on top of a very solid and highly recognized status quo
  • Anticipates future developments, especially regarding the digital transformation, and integrate them into an educated vision for the company to build on and push the market instead of being pushed
  • Sets an effective growth strategy, building up the engineering capacity to expand engineering services, engineering quality and internalize all strategic relevant parts of the engineering value chain into the company, but also externalize engineering work which could be done with the same quality, but more cost effective with subcontractors


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Sets systems, processes and regional workflows to guarantee that designs are carried out to the highest possible technical standard, according to all sector specific environment and yet in a time and cost efficient way
  • Disrupts the conventional way of “doing things” with new ideas, inspiring visions and appealing concepts and execute them subtly
  • Focuses on enabling the company for revenue growth with bottom line awareness
  • Manages the ongoing growth of the organization due to rising demand
  • Assumes accountability for the quality of designs, including inputs and connected processes, as well as establishing standards and benchmarks for Engineering;
  • Acts as the highly visible thought leader in engineering know-how towards the organization and towards the market, becoming the primary identification point of first class engineering delivered.


Requirements:

  • 15 + years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Knows all relevant design production tools
  • Great knowledge of coordination and integration of multi-disciplinary engineering systems;
  • Always on top of industry developments, best practices and new concepts.
  • Strong self-starter and self-directed characteristics
  • Ability to properly identify, assess and resolve problems and/or issues
  • Exhibits a high sense of personal motivation and urgency
  • History of developing and sharing best practices
  • Experienced in developing and maintaining close client relationships
  • Absolute commitment to ethical business standards
  • Ability to demonstrate collaborative working relationships with peers and foster the same with direct report
