The Vice President of Corporate Development directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes for acquisitions. This position is responsible for overseeing the company’s efforts to achieve growth through mergers and acquisitions.


The ideal candidate has practical experience with acquisitions of individual medical provider practices and groups.


Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and evaluates new practices to bring into the Curalta network
  • Advises and evaluates deal rationale, financial projections, risk assessment and financial implications
  • Plans and implements a negotiation strategy and leads negotiations
  • Oversees due diligence, financial planning, scoping, negotiations, closing and integration
  • Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for mergers and acquisitions
  • Develops a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future industry and market actions
  • Researches and analyzes the business environment and competitors to develop ideas for acquiring new acquisitions
  • Collaborates with marketing and operations to support business development plans
  • Directs financial feasibility studies, proposal development and negotiations for new business opportunities
  • Participates in merger and acquisition negotiations
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a healthcare specific field, or equivalent work experience, required
  • MBA preferred
  • Multi-site medical practice experience required, 5+ years preferred
  • Multi-site medical practice M&A experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and driving to potential new business locations
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
