A diverse general contracting firm with experience in multiple sectors spanning projects ranging from $5M to over $50M in scope. This role will be overseeing all of their field operations and will be working directly with C-level executives, other directors, and clients. Job Description

The key responsibilities of this Vice President of Construction role are:

  • All field operations - ensuring workload, scheduling, workforce labor, materials, and other items are up to speed for the projects
  • Meeting with clients during multiple phases of the project - proposals, kick off, updates, closing, and new business opportunities
  • Traveling to job sites to check in on status
  • Creating, implementing, and ensuring safety protocols are followed on site
  • Analyze current internal processes to see if there are more efficient routes of scheduling, budgeting, or workforce distributing
  • Assisting in hiring processes

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for this Vice President of Construction has:

  • 15+ years of experience with a general contractor or developer
  • Commercial construction background is preferred
  • Ground up experience is required
  • Currently in a director or equivalent
  • The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Strong track record with client relationships
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical
  • Working knowledge of construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients.
