Tachus Fiber Internet (“Tachus”) is seeking an outstanding individual to serve as Vice President of Business Operations. Tachus is a fiber optic internet service provider delivering service to the Greater Houston area since 2018. Tachus is dedicated to enhancing the lives of its customers through best-in-class access to fast, reliable digital services and an unmatched customer experience. This approach has resulted in Tachus' industry leading Net Promoter Score of 82 from its rapidly growing customer base of over 45,000 subscribers. The candidate will be joining a team that brings decades of IT, infrastructure, and technology experience with a proven track record of building and growing highly successful businesses.

As the Vice President of Business Operations, you will be a key leader on the Executive Committee responsible for driving company-wide productivity, customer experience, new product evaluation and development, and overall product/market optimization and efficiency. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a critical role in shaping the future growth and success of our organization. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, data-driven analysis, and operational expertise to drive impactful decisions and initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience Optimization: Champion a customer-centric approach across the organization, leveraging customer feedback, data analytics, and industry best practices to continuously improve the end- to-end customer experience.
  • New Product Evaluation and Development: In partnership with the CEO and Executive Committee, identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities to evaluate and prioritize new product offerings, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to market.
  • Company-wide Productivity Improvement: Collaborate with departmental heads to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and implement best practices to enhance overall productivity and operational effectiveness. Proactively identify and elevate issues that could impact the successful execution of the Company’s mission to the Executive Committee and prepare to lead problem-solving initiatives.
  • Market Optimization and Efficiency: Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and performance tracking to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements in product offerings, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Effectuate Tachus’ strategic direction and provide leadership to cross- functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability to achieve company goals and objectives. Partner with leaders throughout the Company to build business cases for new initiatives that address strategic issues and work cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of the strategic initiatives.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Collaborate on various ad hoc projects and initiatives as directed by senior management, providing analytical support and recommendations.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive company growth and enhance profitability, while aligning with the organization's medium and long-term vision.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in consulting, VC, and/or corporate strategy/business operations in tech/startup environment.
  • Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in strategic leadership roles; experience within telecommunications, ISP, or technology fields preferred.
  • Ability to present complex issues effectively through presentations, dashboards, and other communication media.
