Adecco has partnered with a Commercial Space Exploration Company to hires a REMOTE Full Time, Direct Hire Senior Vice President of Business Development.


**The role can be 100% remote however travel will be required.


**Salary range is $200K-300K and can include performance bonus.


  • Approximately ~50% Travel Schedule both Domestic & International
  • 20%+ performance bonus
  • 4-5 direct reports


Role Summary:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development will execute and drive growth strategy for The Space Company’s Exploration Business Segment. Reporting directly to the Segment President and collaborating closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, the SVP will define the strategic approach for new opportunities, direct capture activities, and ensure Business Development aligns with customer needs and challenges. This role includes leading a Business Development team, contributing to key capture efforts, and fostering cross-segment collaboration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Business Development activities across multiple lines of business, focusing on growth with DoD, civil, and commercial customers.
  • Manage Business Development staff, including account assignments, resource allocation, and career development.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships, shaping opportunities to increase win probability.
  • Lead the bid/quote process, making bid/no-bid decisions, and conducting approval reviews.
  • Support long-term product/offering roadmaps for Segment lines of business.
  • Coordinate across Segments for customer communication, competitive analysis, and joint bids.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow the Segment pipeline, and manage monthly metrics reporting.
  • Collaborate with Segment leadership on the annual operating plan and long-term strategic planning.
  • Spearhead competitive assessment by tracking competitors and analyzing threats.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development and capture management.
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred (MBA or technical degree).
  • Expertise in Civil, DoD, and National Security markets with a proven track record of winning business.
  • Deep understanding of Federal acquisition processes and commercial sales.
  • Experience in the aerospace and space industry sectors.
  • Strong negotiation skills for internal and external agreements.
  • Experience in B&P budget development and management.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and foster dialogue.
  • Proven consultative skills as a trusted advisor driving business value for customers.
  • Ability to manage a geographically distributed team.
  • Proficiency with CRM/sales software.
  • Flexibility for overnight travel of 50% or more.
