Role Overview

We are actively looking for a strategic Assistant Vice President (AVP) / Vice President (VP) to join our dynamic team within the Builder's Risk insurance sector. This role offers flexibility with the option to be based in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, or Houston, providing growth opportunities within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting:
• Evaluate and underwrite US property construction projects, focusing on technical construction risks and natural catastrophe exposures.
• Relationship Management:
• Develop and maintain profitable relationships with national and regional brokers and clients.
• Business Growth:
• Drive business growth through market-facing activities and strategic marketing initiatives.
• Risk Analysis:
• Analyze property and delay risk exposures, utilizing CAT peril modeling and pricing strategies.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, showcasing strong underwriting acumen and attention to detail.
• Travel:
• Travel within the assigned territory, up to 20% of the time.
  
  

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in Builder's Risk insurance, including EAR, CAR, and Heavy Civil Works.
• Solid background in engineering insurance, with Completed Civil Risks experience preferred.
• Proven track record in managing Master Builder's Risk programs and project-specific placements.
• Strong existing relationships within the retail and wholesale brokerage community.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions under pressure.
