Join us in driving the clean energy transition as the Vice President of External Affairs at our organization. In this role, reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead efforts to enhance our brand influence, engage stakeholders, and shape global clean energy policies.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance our brand influence and effectively communicate key messages.
- Manage media engagement across various platforms and industry press relationships.
- Drive advocacy efforts for clean energy policy initiatives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to support organizational goals and donor engagement.
- Monitor industry trends and inform strategic decisions and external communications.
- Lead executive-level communications and represent the organization at industry forums.
- Coordinate with member companies to showcase clean energy innovations and achievements.
- Oversee impactful communication and promotional campaigns.
- Develop and execute strategic plans in collaboration with the executive team.
- Utilize data to measure program success and enhance member experiences.
- Cultivate relationships with Boards of Directors and support governance.
- Foster team growth and collaboration among professionals.
Required:
- 20+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and driving strategy.
- Network within the clean energy sector and expertise in related policy areas.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to travel.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Ability to work nontraditional hours as needed.
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
