About The Role

As the Vice President of Accounting and Controller at our company, you will play a crucial role in upholding and enhancing our unique company culture. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the Payroll and Accounting Teams, overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving projects to streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the annual audit process to maintain GAAP compliance
• Supervise accounting functions including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and present financial reports to senior leadership
• Strengthen internal controls and assist with SOX compliance
• Lead potential IPO preparation and coordinate external audits
• Collaborate on insurance renewals and oversee treasury functions
• Mentor and develop accounting and payroll teams
• Ensure timely tax filings and income tax provisions
  
  

Qualifications

• CPA license required; CMA considered an advantage
• Over 10 years of experience in accounting roles, including public and industry-specific experience
• Proficiency in managing multi-state payroll and leading cross-functional teams
• Strong grasp of GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting issues
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Able to work 45-55 hours per week with minimal travel
• Location: Based in Denver, CO (flexible remote work schedule available)
  
  

Compensation

Base salary: $190,000-$220,000 (bonus and equity eligible)

Note: Salary range is approximate and subject to variation based on experience and location.
