Our client, a healthcare marketing agency (based in South Florida), is looking for VP, Media with an established background of success in the digital marketing field. This is a fully remote role and can sit anywhere that accommodates working east coast hours.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure all media plans incorporate a balanced mix of traditional and digital ideas when applicable.
  • Lead the in-house media planning and buying team, providing mentorship and guidance to enhance performance and create growth opportunities.
  • Offer strategic direction and constructive feedback to direct reports to improve the quality of presentations and proposals.
  • Oversee the management of significant media investments across all paid traditional media channels.
  • Supervise media planning, buying processes, and support from internal analytics.
  • Stay updated on industry, market, and competitor trends to develop new marketing tactics and initiatives that capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Participate in new business efforts, providing innovative solutions to differentiate BPD.
  • Assist in developing media strategies and setting overall direction.
  • Enhance media solutions as a strategic capability to improve efficiencies in planning, buying, and optimization processes.
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation skills, earning respect in the sales community through honest and effective negotiations.
  • Present ideas and solutions effectively both internally and externally, managing group dynamics through clear communication.
  • Possess a deep understanding of local markets and the ability to identify unique opportunities in each.
  • Encourage and challenge the team to explore new revenue streams beyond regular media buys, positioning clients as thought leaders.
  • Provide valuable insights to clients to help shape their current and future media plans.
  • Prepare contract negotiations, insertion orders, and place advertisements with media vehicles as needed.
  • Train media coordinators and provide opportunities for their continued growth and advancement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution, optimization, and performance of campaign activities, including authorizations, budgets, and reconciliation processes.
  • Analyze and deliver research data, media/marketing information, and strategic campaign analysis to clients.
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients, vendors, publishers, and creative resources to ensure the effective creation and implementation of campaigns.


Required Qualifications:


  • Over 8 years of experience in media planning, including digital media.
  • More than 3 years of experience in traditional media planning is advantageous.
  • Proven ability in presentation and writing skills.
  • Expertise in third-party ad serving, tracking, and reporting tools (e.g., DoubleClick).
  • Experienced in negotiating with and managing independent vendors.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in a full-service agency is preferred, though not mandatory.
