Vice President Marketing
Homeaglow is a two-sided marketplace that connects households with home service providers. They serve 85% of the US and complete more than 1 cleaning per minute.
Homeaglow is the category leader in residential cleaning today. Soon, they will launch into adjacent home service categories, with an eye on eventually becoming the ”Get Help” button for all of your home needs. Homeaglow is looking to hire a VP of Marketing to lead their small and effective marketing team.
Homeaglow was founded in 2015 by Aaron Cheung and Xiao Wei Chen who met as college roommates at MIT. Their first startup, Homejoy, was also a two-sided marketplace in the home services space that raised $50m. Unfortunately, Homejoy's business model proved unsustainable and they were forced to shut down. Despite their shortcomings, the founders were convinced they'd found product market fit in a large space, so they decided to found Homeaglow, building off the back of learnings from Homejoy. Instead of growth-at-all-costs, Homeaglow has been dedicated from day one to building solid business fundamentals that lead to sustainable long-term growth:
- Profitable unit economics
- Maximizing LTV
- Minimizing CAC
By focusing on these fundamentals, the team has built an efficient marketing flywheel that is able to profitably acquire and serve customers. And, this flywheel has allowed them to bootstrap their way to becoming the category leader. Unlike many of their venture-backed peers, Homeaglow is both growing & profitable on a non-adjusted EBITDA basis.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own & grow the P&L of our marketing budget
- Grow conversion volume while maintaining lifetime contribution margin per customer
- Identify key performance levers in existing channels and iterate towards greater scale
- Diversify spend to new channels
- Maintain cleaner acquisition volume to service demand
- Increase landing page conversion rates & lifecycle campaign conversion rates
- Hire and manage a world-class team of marketing IC’s + agencies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Deep experience in direct-response digital advertising
- Ability to be hands-on keyboard
- Significant experience managing $2m/month+ marketing budgets
- Data-driven and highly analytical
- Comfortable driving results with a small & highly effective marketing organization
