A Day in the Life

As the Vice President of Life Sciences, you will be at the forefront of defining and executing strategic and operational commitments for science-related partnerships within Genomics plc. This critical role focuses on the delivery of commercial deals, primarily with life sciences companies, biobanks, and related research organisations. Your work will span the entire therapeutic R&D pipeline, from target discovery to clinical development and real-world evidence. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the life sciences sector, a proven track record in managing commercial deals, and the ability to drive innovation and growth within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Reporting directly to the President of Genomics plc, you will combine operational and strategic functions, ensuring the continued success of existing long-term commercial partnerships and supporting the development of new opportunities. You will work closely alongside Genomics's Science R&D, Medical, Commercial, Product, Operations and Technology functions.

You will also provide internal thought leadership on the use of genomic data in the life sciences and be a spokesperson for the company in outward-facing activities, building and maintaining a network of contacts from across the industry and adjacent organisations.

Who You Are

• Leadership: Experience in leading the science delivery function, including line management of directors and other senior team members. Proven experience in managing scientific delivery within a commercial organisation.
• Operations Delivery: An ability to oversee the timely, accurate, and impactful delivery of contracted science-related work for commercial partners.
• Stakeholder Management: Experience managing external and internal stakeholders within science delivery operations, ensuring appropriate scoping, communication, and feedback.
• Business Development Support: Can support new deal conversations through the proposal stage for customers in life sciences and adjacent markets.
• Resource Management: Able to take ownership of Science delivery to ensure adequate resourcing for existing and future commitments.
