The Vice President, Investor Relations will develop effective relationships with the investment community. The individual will play a critical role in the company’s overall communications strategy to the market, ensuring consistency of the company’s message to financial analysts, investors, and the media alike.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Educate the investment community about Calix’s business model, strategy and financial objectives as well as establishing realistic expectations for the company’s financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of analyst valuation methods and individual analyst models; identifying the issues that require management attention.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop key messages, scripts and presentations for investor communications, including quarterly conference calls and regular meetings/briefings of financial analysts/institutional investors.
  • Develop and maintain proactive, timely and consistent communications with the financial community through regular phone calls, one-on-one investor and analyst visits, investor conferences and analyst workshops.
  • Monitor the company’s institutional ownership, trading trends, and optimizing investor targeting. Staying apprised of market opinions, attitudes and reactions to company issues. Communicating critical points to senior leadership.
  • Monitoring trends and developments in Calix’s investment peer group.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of the company’s investor relations program through the quality and accuracy of external analyst research, the addition of new institutional owners and strength of relationships with decision makers in key money centers.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Calix’s operations, financial performance and business strategies through ongoing interface and fact-finding meetings with Calix’s executives.
  • Maintain direct communications with financial analysts and institutional investors.
  • Prepare Calix’s quarterly earnings announcements in cooperation with Calix’s financial reporting.
  • Develop Calix’s coverage with the Street.
  • Execute the Calix’s Investor Day.
  • Organize investor conferences and non-deal investor roadshows.
  • Track analyst models and the Street consensus.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business administration/ finance/computer sciences preferred; minimum of 12 years’ related experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the financial modeling used by financial and investment professionals to value an organization’s overall financial performance.
  • Strong financial modelling skills combined with a detail-oriented approach with high analytical and numerical reasoning capacity.
  • Proven relationships with growth-oriented investors.
  • Excellent oral and written communications and presentation skills.
  • Confident, self-motivated, and collaborative complemented with strong relationship building skills.
  • Strong customer service attitude.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work.
  • Well organized with ability drive projects through to completion.
