Job Summary
The Vice President in the ECM group will lead efforts in structuring and executing equity and equity-linked transactions, including IPOs, follow-ons, private placements, and convertible securities. This senior role demands strategic thinking, deep market knowledge, and the ability to manage complex client relationships and transactions.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute equity financing strategies for clients, including structuring and managing public and private equity offerings.
Lead transaction teams through all phases of deal execution, from pitch to close.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and other stakeholders.
Analyze market trends and provide insights and advice on equity market conditions to clients and internal teams.
Collaborate with other departments (M&A, Debt Capital Markets) to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
Oversee the preparation of pitch books, financial models, and marketing materials for equity offerings.
Mentor and manage junior staff, ensuring professional growth and effective contribution to the team.
Negotiate terms with clients and manage the due diligence process.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the transaction process.
Represent the firm at industry conferences and contribute to thought leadership in equity capital markets.
Qualifications
MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
5-10 years of experience in investment banking, with a significant focus on equity capital markets.
Demonstrated track record of leading successful equity transactions.
Deep understanding of financial markets, investment banking products, and regulatory environment.
Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills.
Strong leadership capabilities and experience in team management.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
