Summary

Summary
As an Investment Banking Vice President in Chemicals you will develop strong relationships with clients as you work across the full spectrum of investment banking products including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises.
Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements
- Lead transactions including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, other equity capital markets activity, high yield debt issuance, and other debt issuance in the Chemicals sector.
- Analyze detailed corporate and financial information and conduct detailed due diligence.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis related to the valuation of companies including discounted cash flow, transaction comparables, public market comparables, leveraged buyout analysis, and public market overviews.
- Create pitch books and ideas to present to the clients on potential acquisitions, divestitures, and capital structure alternatives.
- Train analysts and associates.
- Lead day-to-day client dialogue, idea generation, and transaction execution.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers at companies in the Chemicals industry globally. Prospect new clients and develop client outreach skills.
- Requires up to 50% domestic, international travel.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent work experience, in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA (Preferred).
- Experience in Chemicals Investment Banking (6+ years with Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with MBA).
- Prior work experience in an Investment Banking front office role, ideally in Chemicals Investment Banking.
- Experience in training junior bankers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work).
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions.
- Ability to manage projects independently and assume a high level of responsibility.
- Ability to interact with clients.
- Ability to assess and mitigate reputational, operational and credit risk.
- Experience with sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes and equity and debt capital raises.
