Cato is seeking an experienced Vice President, IT Technology & Operations to join its IT Team!

JOB SUMMARY:

Oversee, plan, and manage the IT department and corporate infrastructure for The Cato Corporation. Develop short- and long-term technology plans to maintain and provide efficient and cost-effective technology tools for the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and manage the IT technical functions of The Cato Corporation to ensure that in-house systems, programs, networking, installations, and operations support the organizations goals and objectives.
• Direct the data processing functions of the organization to ensure development and delivery of quality information processing services for the organizations internal users and members.
• Function as Security Officer of the corporation to develop, update, monitor and continuously ensure compliance with the disaster recovery plans, network and systems security and loss prevention plans, antivirus and firewall protections, etc.
• Work with the CIO in setting short- and long-term technology plans that promote growth and enhance services to members.
• Research industry trends in technology to ensure that we remain competitive in its product and service offerings. Keep abreast of changing trends in technology to include hardware, networks and network tools, software and systems.
• Evaluate and/or design new systems, networks, or other technology tools that support growth, enhance services to members, and provide efficient processes for employees.
• Direct the upgrade and maintenance of all computer hardware, software, systems tools, and peripherals such as printers, scanners and other devices.
• Hire, manage and direct IT technical and support staff.
• Ensure that operational manuals and documentation are accurate and up to date. Ensure that processes comply with Federal, State, and governing body rules and regulations.
• Prepare, implement, and supervise the budget for the department that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the organization.
• Develop, apply, and evaluate policies and procedures for the department.
• Various other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field is required. Master's degree a plus with a focus on technology, management, or related area.
• 10+ years of experience working in a Senior IT Management role.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
• Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems. administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize.
• Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
