Job Description:
Seeking an experienced VP of Information Technology to oversee IT strategy, security, and data management for multiple entities. Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with agricultural industry needs.
Collaborate with executives to support company growth and innovation in agriculture.
IT Systems Management:
Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT systems.
Enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability of IT infrastructure.
Technology Infrastructure:
Ensure robust and scalable IT infrastructure including hardware, networks, and storage.
Maintain availability, security, and performance to meet business requirements.
Cyber Security:
Develop and execute a comprehensive cyber security strategy.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging threats for proactive risk management.
Data Management & Governance:
Establish and enforce data management policies ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Develop and maintain data governance frameworks tailored to agriculture.
Data Pipelines & Snowflake Environment:
Design and implement efficient data pipelines for seamless operations.
Manage Snowflake environment for high performance analytics tailored to agriculture.
Modern Data Stack & Tools Integration:
Lead adoption of modern data stack tools relevant to agriculture.
Tools include Github, DBT, Fivetran, Google VMs, PowerBI, and Snowflake.
Team Leadership & Development:
Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
Vendor Management:
Evaluate and manage vendor relationships ensuring alignment with industry standards.
Optimize vendor footprint for efficiency and value.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with agriculture-specific regulations and standards.
Identify and mitigate IT-related risks through proactive management.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience of progressive IT leadership experience, with a track record of success in managing IT systems, cyber security, physical security, data management, data pipelines, Snowflake environment, and modern data stack.
Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their potential impact on agriculture operations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
Ability to travel to multi-state locations up to 10% of the time.
